About MY Photography

As a fine art photographer, I approach every image as a carefully staged moment—an instinct shaped by my background as a professional theatrical stage designer and decorator. Whether I’m creating still lifes, portraits, or more conceptual, thought‑provoking works, I treat each element as a character within a larger visual narrative.
I’m inspired by the quiet poetry of everyday objects: flowers and fruits from my garden, seashells, handmade pottery, and vintage treasures discovered along the way. Natural window light is my preferred medium, allowing me to shape atmosphere, emotion, and depth without artificial manipulation.
My work draws from the rich traditions of Dutch and Baroque still life, Impressionism, and symbolic “Memento Mori” themes—reminding us of time, beauty, and the transient nature of existence. I often weave subtle philosophical layers into my compositions, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and discover meaning beyond the surface.
Across all my photography, one principle remains constant:
I do not use Artificial Intelligence in the creation of my images.
Every photograph is crafted through real objects, real light, and an authentic artistic process.
